Dr. Isaacs graduated with Honors from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He completed a General Surgery internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and an Ophthalmology residency at New York Med, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Isaacs then trained in one of the most competitive Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowships at UCLA, followed by a second fellowship in Facial Cosmetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Isaacs is one of the few Oculofacial Plastic Surgeons in the United States and the world to complete both fellowships and hold memberships in the American Society of Oculofacial Plastic Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Isaacs has a private practice in Beverly Hills and serves as an Attending Physician at UCLA.
Work History
As a faculty member at UCLA, Dr. Isaacs gained invaluable clinical and teaching experience. He was later recruited by Loma Linda University, the only Level 1 Regional Trauma Center for the Inyo, Mono, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. He held two distinct Assistant Professor faculty appointments: one as the lead Orbital and Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon, and another in the Department of Dermatology to perform Mohs reconstructive surgery. As an Assistant Professor, he balanced clinical responsibilities with teaching duties, mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students.
Current Work
Dr. Isaacs runs a thriving private practice in Beverly Hills while remaining active in teaching and research. He serves as a Clinical Staff Attending at UCLA, mentoring residents and fellows in both the operating room and cadaver dissection courses. Additionally, he is a faculty member for various Orbital and Oculofacial Plastic Surgery Courses at the Annual American Academy of Ophthalmology Meeting and at UCLA, instructing surgeons from around the world. He also holds a staff position at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Isaacs held a position as Senior Scientific and Technological Advisor for TeraGroup from 2020 to 2024, a pioneering nanotechnology company making advancements across multiple fields.
Teaching
Dr. Isaacs serves as both a Director and Instructor for Academy courses held at Annual Meetings, as well as university-based teaching courses. These include both lectures and hands-on training sessions that teach advanced surgical techniques to surgeons nationwide and internationally. Topics covered include Face/Neck Lifts, Blepharoplasty, Orbital Decompression, and Fat Grafting. In addition to being an avid author and speaker, Dr. Isaacs has reviewed and written medical literature, research articles, and book chapters.
He has also been invited to speak at numerous national and international academic meetings. Currently, Dr. Isaacs actively teaches residents and fellows as a Clinical Staff Attending at UCLA, participating in both operating room instruction and cadaver dissection courses. Personal Interests and Background
Beyond academics, Dr. Isaacs enjoys extracurricular and team activities. He was a rower on the UCLA Men’s Crew Team and played football in high school. His passion for plastic surgery aligns with his love for art and music, both of which play significant roles in his life. A lifelong piano student, Dr. Isaacs has developed his own compositions and has even performed on televised broadcasts. Academic excellence, teaching, and helping others have always been central to Dr. Isaacs’ career.
While still an undergraduate, Dr. Isaacs received a Presidential Award and a letter from the White House for Educational Excellence.
