There is no surgery that is guaranteed and unwanted results unfortunately can and do occur, even with some of the best surgeons.
Dr. Isaacs is an expert in revision plastic surgery. While in academic practice, and currently in his private practice, he has had a high referral volume of revision patients, and maintains full patient and physician confidentiality.
Revision rhinoplasty can be performed to improve both the cosmetic appearance and function of the nose. Surgery may involve strengthening the nasal structures, and grafts from another area, such as the ear and rib, may be needed.
Revision eyelid surgery can be very complex because of the delicate nature of the eyelids, its role in protecting and lubricating the eye, and the important role it plays in the aesthetic appearance of the patient. The eyelid has both functional and cosmetic roles, so seek an expert when it comes to treatment.
Revision patients do not necessarily have to undergo surgery. Dr. Isaacs is very experienced in nonsurgical and minimally invasive approaches that forego surgery. They can also improve the issue(s) so that if surgery is needed, a smaller or simpler surgery can be performed in conjunction. This is case dependent and can be discussed in more detail during your consultation.
Patients often feel that revision surgery means requiring a very big and complex correction. Dr. Isaacs has found that less can be more, and improvements can be made with minimally invasive and tissue-sparing approaches. A big endeavor does not always have to be undertaken, and sometimes shouldn’t. Dr. Isaacs will give you an honest assessment of what can be achieved, limitations, and realistic expectations.
