The Eyelid Bags
Many patients seek Dr. Isaacs for his expertise in treating lower eyelid bags and blepharoplasty.
There is a nonsurgical method to addressing lower eyelid bags using facial fillers. Fillers can be injected into the hollow areas below the bags in order to better camouflage the bags. This decreases or can even do away with the bags, providing more youthful contours to the eyelid and face.
To better understand this, imagine a mountain and a valley. The lower eyelid bags represent the mountain, and the area right below it- the hollow area- would represent the valley. This relationship causes a noticeable difference or distraction. Either the mountain “sticks out” or the valley seems “caved in.” The concept behind using filler is to fill in the hollow, or valley, to meet or at least come close to the “height” of the “mountain.” This ultimately leads to a softer and fuller contour, with a smoother lower eyelid-cheek continuum.
Dr. Isaacs is also an expert in lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgery. Please see our “Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty” section for more details.
