What if I am coming from out of town?
Many patients fly in for their surgery or consultation with Dr. Isaacs. We are located near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and can help you with transportation, hotel reservations, and any additional needs you may have.
Do I have to undergo general anesthesia for my facelift or rhinoplasty?
We understand that the thought of general anesthesia may dissuade many patients from having elective surgery. Dr. Isaacs feels extremely comfortable performing cosmetic surgery with patients under sedation. This means you are breathing on your own, and patients typically do not have nausea and vomiting postoperatively. You may also decide to have your procedure done with only local anesthesia and an oral medication to help you feel sleepy and relaxed.
What is my downtime? When can I get back to work?
Minimizing downtime and getting back to work may be at the top of your priority list. Whether it is a facelift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, chemical peel, or just Botox and fillers, Dr. Isaacs utilizes minimally-invasive approaches to rejuvenation. In fact, we have procedures that can get you ready for the weekend!
I think I have a skin cancer, what should I do?
Please make an appointment to see us as soon as possible. Typically, we will arrange for you to see one of our preferred Mohs surgeons for evaluation and excision. Once the entire cancer has been removed, Dr. Isaacs will perform the reconstruction, usually on that very same day.
Are the procedures painful?
Pain is very subjective and can vary between patients. We therefore take great care in making sure that our patients are extremely comfortable before, during, and after their procedures. Dr. Isaacs also has a large pediatric practice, so he truly understands the importance of providing a great experience. Dr. Isaacs is very patient and typically utilizes “Step Anesthesia.” This method allows the procedure to be done with virtually no pain at all.
